Dr. Martin grew up in Manchester, TN and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry from The University of Alabama in Huntsville Alabama. She then received her doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in Birmingham, Alabama. While there, she served as president of Students in Optometric Service and Humanity, and traveled on mission trips to several underprivileged areas around the world. After receiving her doctorate, she then completed a residency in ocular disease in Nashville Tennessee at VisionAmerica, where afterwards served as the center director and residency trainer. From there she moved to Pensacola Florida and worked in both private practice as well as an optometric co-management center. In 2013, she moved back home to Tennessee and worked at a private practice in Shelbyville, providing comprehensive eye care, as well as myopia management and speciality contact lens fits. Dr. Martin enjoys the time spent with her pre-teenage son as well as attending her Church. She also loves to travel, listen to music and especially watching SEC football in the fall.
